Sue Silverstein Said: Almost Instantly Broke ( Nov. 9th 2009 )
I purchased this sharpener for my small business which uses a lot of pencils and was tired of flimsy 99 cent manual sharpeners that constantly didn't work or needed replacement. Needless to say, this is no different. It worked for about a week and then the motor just ceased to give enough power to sharpen pencils. Before you speculate, it wasn't the batteries since I tried 2 different sets of them. Overall this pencil sharpener works if you want a $10 disposable electric pencil sharpener. I would hope that you wouldn't want that.
M. SMITH Said: looks very sturdy ( Oct. 28th 2009 )
I bought this for my grand daughter for Christmas, I haven't given it to her yet.
E. Pronina Said: nice design, poor performance ( Aug. 9th 2009 )
Sharpener failed to meet "technical expectations" - it just won't sharpen the pencils! it makes the noise, rotates the pencil, but it's very tricky to get things done with it - faster to use manual sharpener...
Sarah Bruening Said: Works great and it's cute ( Jul. 10th 2009 )
Not only does this pencil sharpener work incredibly fast and well, but it's cute! It actually makes me want to ditch mechanical pencils for the good old #2 yellow pencil. I recommend it for every desk.
Looneybin Jim Said: Works fair, but I wouldn't recommend it ( Jun. 30th 2009 )
Some pencils, it sharpens fine. Others, it constantly breaks the lead. I've only used it to sharpen #2 pencils and have been unable to determine a pattern of why it work well on some, and not on others. Regardless, there have to be better pencil sharpeners out there for a few more dollars.
