Had great hopes for this product because of the company image and reputation. However, it is a marginal, at best, product since it does not sharpen the pencil evenly around the circumference. The "point saver" function is ok but you have to push very hard to sharpen a pencil. Yes, I tried different holes...no improvement.

This pencil sharpener sharpens only half of the lead in the pencil. No matter how the students and I turn the pencil, wood is left on half of the lead.

I was very excited about this purchase but disappointed with the performance. Most of our pencils are sharpened on one side only. Don't know if there is some trick I am missing, but I find this seriously annoying because what good is a pencil sharp on only one side?

This pencil sharpener is appealing to the eye (for a pencil sharpener!) It is of a nice weight and sharpens very quickly. I would buy this again.

As far as pencil sharpeners go this is a good one, well made, easy to operate and does the job. We have a 6 yr old that seems to love it too... sharpens her crayons, so we are happy with it.
